General Pricing Policy
Monthly tuition is based on total annual tuition divided by twelve, so the monthly payment remains constant throughout the year. The studio year starts each August, and tuition will generally be updated each year.
Some months will have more lessons than other months, and some months will have performances or parties. Standardized tuition simplifies budgeting for all involved, regardless of holidays (read more on this page).
Tuition is due at the beginning of each month, or you may elect to pay for the whole term up front if that makes you happier. Past-due invoices are subject to a late fee, which everyone prefers to avoid. See your current invoice for the most recent information.
Autopay is available from my system, or you may automate from Zelle, Venmo, automatic checks from your bank, or however you like.
2026-2027 Pricing
Young Amaryllis takes piano/life lessons in Ms. Marian's home.
Pricing for the 2026-2027 academic year is based on 41 lessons even though the calendar includes 42 scheduled lesson weeks. This is an increase from last year and provides a buffer week for teacher emergencies (but will hopefully result in an extra lesson for you).
My hourly rate is standardized, so a 60-minute lesson slot for this academic year remains at $260/month. A 45-minute lesson is $195, and a 30-minute slot is $130 each month.
All regular lessons are priced at the same hourly rate. Sets of one-off lessons (e.g., audition prep for students not currently in my studio) are priced at $85/hour.
